We are delighted that the first episode of Ricky & Ralf’s Very Northern Road Trip aired tonight on Gold, featuring the Soccer Centre!
We welcomed Ricky Tomlinson and Ralf Little to the Soccer Centre in late 2019 for an afternoon of filming and are incredibly proud to have been able to participate in such a fantastic showcase of the North!
Faisal Member, lead coach for both the adult disability and refugee/asylum seeker groups said:
“It was a really good evening for the disability and refugee players.
Firstly, they got to play football with their friends which is most important to them, and secondly they got to do that in front of their tv heroes and on camera which made it extra special. This might be an episode in a documentary to most but it will be a memory for these players for the rest of their lives”
