The Lancashire Sports Awards, have been developed in partnership with each of Lancashire’s local authorities in order to celebrate sporting achievement and showcase best practice throughout the County. The Awards aim to pay tribute to those, young and old, that show dedication to perform at the highest level or those who work tirelessly to support individuals or clubs week in, week out, for the love of sport.
Following our success in winning Community Club of the Year and Adult Volunteer of the Year for Kath Mason at the Preston Sports Awards we were put forward to the Lancashire competition.
We are delighted that Kath Mason won the Lancashire Adult Volunteer of the Year award for 2016 – very much deserved! We are also thrilled that the Sir Tom Finney Preston Soccer Centre was highly commended (came second!) in the Community Club of the Year category.
A huge thank you to Kath for all of her ongoing hard work, but also a HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers, coaches, parents and players – we couldn’t do it without you!
